Joey was born in Macon, GA and obtained a B.S. ED. in Technology Engineering Education from Georgia Southern University. He will begin seminary at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary extension in Marietta, GA to pursue a Masters of Divinity in Worship Studies in January 2009.
Joey loves to communicate the timeless message of Jesus Christ in a relevant, innovative, and age appropriate way. The Lord has blessed Joey with many ministry opportunities across the United States. One of the most meaningful ministry opportunities, however, occurred one fall in Sydney, Australia when Joey served with the International Mission Board during the 2000 Summer Olympics. Joey also has served on the staff of various Christian sports camps. He also leads worship and speaks on the weekends at church events as God directs. He is also an avid singer/songwriter. Joey likes to spend time with God, hunt, fish, ride his 4-wheeler, and work on his truck. He also likes to pick his guitar.
One of the greatest blessings in Joey’s life is his beautiful wife, Sarah. They met while working together on staff at a Christian sports camp in 2003. After dating for a year or so, they were engaged, and wed on March 26th, 2005. Joey enjoys partnering with Sarah in ministry as they lift up the name of Jesus Christ together and seek out God's design for their relationship. Joey is excited about serving God and building His Kingdom with No Regrets Ministries and also where he is the Pastor of Worship at First Baptist Church of Emerson, in Cartersville, GA.
